About Me

Vikki
(She/Her)

Welcome to the website. Thank you for taking the time to read and get to know me.

I'm a kind, sympathetic ear. I'm good at listening, but also good at hearing and hope that I will put you at ease straight away. It is so important for a relationship to work, that both parties trust one another. Feel free to ask any questions before committing to an assessment, it's important you feel totally comfortable with me.

I'm not coming to yours to judge the size of your washing pile, or your pyjamas. You don't need to get dressed! I'm here to help and I also make excellent tea!

Paediatric Nurse
IBCLC
Tongue Tie Practitioner

I have been a paediatric nurse for 20 years. I studied at the University of Surrey, and the last 15 years I spent working in Paediatric Intensive Care at the Evelina London Hospital. The unit is world renowned, and is also the home to the South Thames Retrieval Service.

PICU taught me a huge amount including a holistic assessment of the body, piecing together the picture and formulating best plans.

I am a qualified IBCLC Lactation Consultant, I'm also a Tongue Tie Practitioner, meaning I can identify reduced tongue function, provide muscular tension release and a tongue tie division if needed.

Mother

I am the very lucky Mumma to 3 wonderful babies! A 7 year-old, a 5 year-old and a 3 year-old.

They keep me on my toes and keep me grounded!

I breastfed all 3, however, due to a missed tongue tie diagnosis, my breastfeeding journey with my eldest ended abruptly due to aversion and pain. We transitioned to formula milk and the cherry on the cake meant that her Dad, my husband, could get involved in feeds too!

So zero judgement from me about how you feed, I've done it all!

My youngest two both had tongue tie divisions and I was able to feed them for over a year each.

My Ethos

Back to the beginning and basics!

If people are making contact with me, it's normally because something isn't quite right and the story can be lengthy and confusing.

That's why I'll go back to the start, I want to hear it all. I'll ask all the questions I need to help me unpick and then build the bigger picture.

The signs and symptoms of an unsettled baby are quite general and they overlap so much. Sleep, feeding, reflux, colic, allergies....they can all show the same signs. It's my job to listen to you, to hear you and help find the cause.
